The Present

Movements for change have been incredibly powerful in the past leading to drastic social change that was both needed and required. From marches protesting for civil rights and equality, to standing against a tyrannical government that would rather have seen them imprisoned or dead, those of the past did incredible things. As such, it is important that movements for change continue in the present and into the future. It is pertinent that injustice continue to be fought against, no matter how little the hope, no matter the odds, no matter the fear. Those of the past, the proles that fought for what they believed in,also feared what could happen and what could come about as a result of their actions but went through with their movements anyway. That is why we still talk about them to this day and should look to them as pillars of courage to use as inspiration for what must be done and continue to be done. The proles today must continue the same fight that those of the past started, they must pick up the torch. It is incredibly important that we don’t just move forward without looking at the movements of the past, and we continue to look at them as inspiration for the present, as the proles rose above before, and can rise again.
